Q. Do we need scanner hardware?

No. Rotion Starter scans with a phone camera, on Android and on iOS. No handheld terminal to buy, no dock, no rental, no per device fee. If your team carries phones, your team already carries the scanner.

Q. How do the QR codes get onto our crates?

Two ways, both included at 150 €. Download the print ready QR templates from Rotion and print them on normal label sheets, or order the printed codes from us. Either way they come out of your Rotion account, so each code is already tied to a specific asset.

Q. Can Rotion Starter handle our deposits and refunds?

No, and it is worth being blunt about it. Rotion Starter tracks assets. It shows you what went out, what came back and what never did. It does not calculate, invoice or refund deposit money. If the deposit flow is your real problem, say so in your first reply. That is a different Rotion conversation and we will point you at the right one.

Q. We already keep a spreadsheet. Why change?

One question usually settles it: how many units did you re-buy last year just to keep the pool the size it was? A spreadsheet records what was meant to happen. A scan records what did. Send us the spreadsheet and we will import it into your trial, so you are testing on your own data from day one.

Q. We are not in Belgium. Does that matter?

No. Rotion Starter is sold, set up and supported remotely across Europe, and the price stays 150 € a month wherever you are. Our first self-serve customer is a drinks producer in Czechia who never met us in person.

Q. What happens to our data if we leave?

You export it. Rotion Starter lets you take your asset list and scan history out whenever you want, during the trial and after it. No vendor lock-in, and that does not stop applying at the cheapest plan.
